Get to know Rose Wrona, one of the fabulous therapists here at Restore! Rose brings to our practice a wealth of experience, not to mention a warm smile and welcoming demeanor. You may already know that she’s a skilled manual therapist with expertise in both orthopedics and pelvic floor therapy, but here are some things you may have not known about her.
How old were you when you first realized you wanted to become a physical therapist?
I was in high school when I decided I wanted to become a PT. I was always interested in sports and I wanted to combine that passion with medicine. Physical therapy seemed like it was a good fit and I went off to an accelerated Master’s program right out of High School. Fortunately, I have not switched careers.
What's your approach to treating patients?
I treat all patients as if they are a puzzle. I try to not to treat their symptoms but attempt to uncover the dysfunction that is behind their complaints. Sometimes that means I am treating a hip when they come in with foot pain or their LB when their shoulder hurts. I take a whole-body approach to treatment and find that is how to achieve the greatest results.
When you're not at work, what can you be found doing?
You can find me on sidelines in the fall, bleachers in the winter and watching LAX in the spring. In my free time I enjoy watching movies, all water sports, the outdoors, reading and practicing my faith.
Do you have any pets and what kind?
I like furry pets. I currently have a dog.
