As we have shared with you before, exercise – even just going for a walk – can improve your mood and clear your mind.  As if that weren’t enough inspiration to get up and go, this article lists a few more little facts that may just encourage you to take your lunch break outdoors.

The article mentions two and a half hours as being the standard amount of exercise adults should be getting in a week.  Two and half hours is really not much though.  If you went for a half hour walk every work day during lunch or perhaps first thing in the morning, you would reach that mark by Friday.  Do even more and your body will thank you!

But if life is busy and something small like a midday walk is all you can do, still be sure to do it.  By the end of the week you will have exercised two and a half hours with only a minimal effort!
