An article from Medical Daily points to the physical therapy and athletic training benefits of the AlterG antigravity treadmill. Of course not only does it aid in recovery for post-operative patients who have sustained injuries to limbs, but it is also a great tool for athletes training for their next event.
While the AlterG is new here, as the article points out, this technology was developed over the past twenty years by NASA as an effective way for astronauts to exercise in space. More importantly for us here on earth, the treadmill allows virtually anyone to run or walk without heavy impact on their joints. Write the author, “running with a lot less impact on my knees? Sign me up!”
