Stay healthy over the holidays!

The temptations are there: mashed potatoes and gravy, pies, and all sorts of desserts – but don’t let holiday lethargy set in! Make sure you take a little time to get your blood moving.  Even a brisk walk after Thanksgiving dinner is a healthy move and it will almost certainly leave you feeling better than if you had just retired to the couch with a full stomach.

The physical therapist featured in this article makes a few recommendations for students returning home for the holiday.  Though perhaps primarily intended for students, the advice is applicable to nearly everyone. Perhaps the best piece of advice is to do some exercises at home that don’t even require traveling to the gym, like push-ups and squats.  Whatever you enjoy doing, just make sure to get up and moving after your family feast.
